I’m Christina Minervini-Bertin, LMHC-D, CCATP. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York and a TLHT Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I hold Master’s degrees in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Mental Health Counseling, and I bring over 15 years of experience working in inpatient, outpatient, and court-mandated settings.
My therapy approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we’ll work on developing healthier coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and cultivating more fulfilling relationships.
Early in my career, I worked within the prison system and supported individuals navigating probation and parole. Early in my career, I worked within the prison system and supported individuals navigating probation and parole. That experience shaped my understanding of how systems, trauma, and shame can impact mental health and how transformative it can be when someone is met with compassion instead of judgment. I continue to support individuals involved in the criminal justice system in New York, offering therapy that helps with difficult life transitions, rebuilding trust, and reconnecting with oneself and others.
In addition to my forensic background, I specialize in helping adults and young adults—including college students and young professionals—manage anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. Many of my clients seek therapy during times of major transition, such as starting college or a new job, navigating adulthood, changing careers, or managing evolving relationships.
As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), I focus on treating anxiety-related disorders and unhelpful thought patterns like rumination and “what if” spirals. My goal is to help you find clarity, confidence, and a greater sense of control during these periods of change.
I also support clients working through intimacy challenges, sexual concerns, and relationship dynamics, particularly when anxiety, avoidance, or past experiences interfere with connection. Whether you're managing high expectations, feeling stuck in shame or self-doubt, or struggling to feel present in relationships, I offer a space where you can explore, heal, and grow.
I believe every person holds the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience even in the midst of anxiety, overwhelm, or self-doubt. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the understanding that your experiences and strengths are unique, and together we can tap into those strengths to help you navigate life’s challenges and move toward

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way. In our work together, we’ll collaborate to develop effective tools, foster emotional regulation, and shift unhelpful thought patterns. With curiosity, care, and a focus on practical strategies, we’ll create space for relief, growth, and meaningful, lasting change.
